Jazbaat is a deeply personal track that sheds light on the emotional journey behind Jaz Dhami’s private battle with cancer, all while celebrating how far he's come. Known for blending traditional Punjabi sounds with contemporary flair, Jaz uses this song to reflect on resilience, loyalty, and staying true to oneself through life’s toughest moments, and remaining in high spirits, all with a vibey beat by Starboy X.

A play on the word Jazbaat (Jaz-baat), translated means sentiments/emotions, and that’s exactly what Jaz has laid bare in this record. The song captures his determination to rise above adversity despite living with a cancer diagnosis, and being an anchor of support for his family with his brother DJ Harvey, being diagnosed shortly after with terminal brain cancer.

The music video is also a personal journey back in time for Jaz, being filmed in the house he was born and raised in, in Handsworth, Birmingham, to Mani Longia shooting his parts in Jaz’s Pind and home back in Punjab, Sandhra Sodhia.

Jaz has co-directed the video alongside Sam Malhi. He wanted to showcase where he's come from, and where he’s at now. For the first time he’s featured his wife and children in a music video, in fact, every person you’ll see on screen in this video is closely connected to Jaz himself.

Jaz’s own words, “Jazbaat is the most personal song I’ve ever made. With the journey I’ve been on these past two years, it has taught me so much about life, loyalty and being grateful for everything I'm blessed with. And that’s what’s been encapsulated in this song. Working with Starboy and Mani Longia was an incredible experience, Mani's ability to capture raw emotion and translate it into powerful lyrics was exactly what I needed for this track. He really understood my journey and helped bring my story to life in a way that feels authentic and true.”
