Shaan & Verinder ft. Nirmal Sidhu - Yaar Nachda (Video)
Introducing London lads 'Shaan & Verinder' and their first venture as a duo is the brilliant 'Yaar Nachda' featuring the vocals of the well seasoned Nirmal Sidhu with words supplied by the outstanding lyricist Vijay Dhammi.
Although this is their official introduction, they are no strangers to the music industry. Shaan & Verinder boast a wealth of experience through engineering, producing and performing on recordings with many recognisable names from around the globe.
Verinder says: "We feel we're ready to launch ourselves into the limelight now having worked for so many years behind the scenes. It's great that we have the support of Moviebox - we can now combine our experience with some of the most prominent vocal talents to date."
The dynamic duo aim to showcase a new generation of music displaying versatility and variation whilst upholding the traditional elements that Asian music has become accustomed to.
Their strong friendship was born out of a mutual passion for music. Both have been influenced by a variety of genres including Hip-Hop, R’n’B, Garage, House, Bhangra and Bollywood.
Both share a keen interest in playing instruments. Between them, they've mastered Dhol, Tabla, Tumbi, Algoze, Harmonium, Keyboard and Piano. Shaan & Verinder also continue to develop their capabilities in composing, engineering and music production. The pair have received guidance from the high profile musician Juggy Rihal to whom they give credit for taking their music further.
Shaan says of their debut: "It was great working on the production of this track alongside Vijay Dhammi. He's amazing at what he does and he's penned some big songs like 'Tarthi Hilde' by Angrej Ali and 'Dooja Saah' by Nachattar Gill. Exciting times!"
Verinder concludes: "It's been a long time coming but we're proud to finally be sharing our music with everyone. Yaar Nachda is just a taste of what is to come from us this year and we hope that the effort we have put in shines through."
The accompanying video was shot in India and directed by the hugely talented Sandeep Sharma. The visuals are bright, colourful and happy and compliment the song perfectly.
Although their names may not be familiar right now, based on their fast growing following and support from many household names within the Asian music scene, it looks like 2016 is going to be extremely bright for Shaan & Verinder!
