Here is the penultimate episode of 'WITNIS the Music' from US artist Kidd Skilly.

Kidd Skilly expresses his love for music and his dedication and drive to be followed by others. He says "if I can get young kids to follow their dreams right now, and do it in the future, then I've done my job". Skilly wants to be an inspirational figure to the younger generation and motivate them to pursue their dreams.

Skilly explains that when he is no longer here, "there is going to be a void", and in the track he says "he got a story you should listen cause one day you gonna miss him when he no longer sitting reminiscing about them times that made you laugh...". Skilly lives 'like everyday is his last' and hopes to continue to make great inspirational music.

Continuing on the theme of giving and inspiring, a portion of proceeds from pre-sales of the 'Undercover Superstar' mix tape will be going to The World Foundation for Music and Healing http://musicandhealing.org/. Through this Kidd Skilly and the WINTIS Project hope to help those less fortunate follow their dreams and realise their superstar potential. The charity provides music education, cultural programming and creative arts experience for children, teens, families and groups recovering from trauma or loss.

Episode Two digs deeper into the title track of Skilly?s upcoming mix-tape, ?Undercover Superstar?.

In the track he says ?It?s funny how my people preach spiritual wealth, but if I give up material they?ll give me hell?. Skilly feels this is one of the most important lines in the track and believes that as a community we seem to be heavily influenced by spirituality yet when it comes to following ones passions and dreams, the potential for making money quashes these. He reiterates that ?as a community we need to get passed the contradictions we make?.

Skilly explains how his elders were reluctant as Skilly pursued his music career as they believed there was ?no money in it?. However, Kidd Skilly claims that he is not money motivated and ?music is something we are trying to do for our people, we want to pursue our dream?. Skilly kept to his word and proved that money is not what he is interested in by giving his ground-breaking track ?Ni Sohniye? with with R?n?B megastar Akon away for free.

Kidd Skilly - Undercover Superstar - "Witnis the Music" - Episode One

US Hip Hop artist Kidd Skilly, gives us an insight into his lyrics through a series of mini episodes. The episodes will see him dissect the title track off his upcoming mix-tape.

Episode one sees him giving us a run down of the first few lines of 'Undercover Superstar' and why he had to do his own spin on it. "When I heard this song I was like wow, this song really talks to me, especially with my position right now within the South Asian Music scene" he says of Lupe's original.

Delving deeper into the meaning behind his version of the song, Skilly reveals his troubled youth and his thoughts on the restrictions South Asians place on themselves. In the track he says 'I free them folks that reside on reservations' and strongly believes that as a community we create our own restrictions and that we "forget about our dreams and desires".

The episodes will see this Hip Hop artist demonstrating his lyrical talent and effortless flow, giving fans a real opportunity to hear what is on the mind of this Undercover Superstar!

Nitasha's talents were obvious from a young age. You would always find her singing and dancing and the stage was always where she felt most comfortable. She created a handful of experimental tracks approaching record labels before being discovered.
