"THE WORLDS FIRST BOOK ON BRITISH BHANGRA MUSIC" OR NOT??
The above book which profiles what has happened in the Bhangra Music as a whole has been published.  BUT, within the Bhangra industry and the general public day by day, as they see the book or hear about it are bitterly upset regarding the contents of it.

The writers have used lots of the public money (and this is in the 1000’s) in writing this book without taking advice from the senior members of the Bhangra industry.

The book states that the music started in the 80's on wards!  But lots of the hard work was put from the artist's from the 60's & 70's who struggled to make way and open the doors for the artist's of the 80's plus, Everybody worked very hard to promote Bhangra in the early days and when Alaap call themselves ‘Pioneers of Bhangra’, AS Kang had already made that mark along time ago.

The book does not give a true image of what has happened in the Bhangra from the second page, where it says Birmingham & Beyond has images from London to support the article?

  
SimplyBhangra have been totally neutral about the whole thing but what we are saying to everybody is that please just see the images and photos in the book, what do they tell you?
