Biography
Aman Sandhu:
Ever since he could perceive the sound of music, Aman Sandhu has had an endless passion for this art. This love for music eventually allowed Aman Sandhu to take that leap and pursue his dream. Born and raised in Chandigarh, India, he has learnt the art of music for approximately 7 years. Aman started his singing career at the age of 16, performing at local events and experiencing the live music scene. Aman’s goal is to continue to improve his vocal skills and abilities.
Currently Aman Sandhu is working hard in the studio and putting together his best work for his debut album. Still at a young age, he has received praise from all quarters, but has remained grounded throughout. Whilst Aman Sandhu’s career is still in the blossoming stage, the buds have shown talent in abundance and fruits that will bring sweetness to the Asian music industry. Which brings us on to the producer..
sOe:
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, sOe grew up listening to a wide assortment of music. As many producers go, sOe also has an array of influences, from Scott Storch, Swizz Beatz to Panjabi MC and Sangra Vibes. It is evident that he has been stimulated by the creativity these artists have shown, developing it within his own music. sOe started off by fusing hip hop instrumentals with Punjabi tracks and creating mixtapes.
However having developed his repertoire, he extended into music production, which he felt was lacking in Toronto in particular. With the support of fellow producer E=MC he has gone onto produce for various artists and is currently in the stage of working on his solo EP.
This is not the first time the duo have come together, many of you will remember Aman Sandhu’s first promotional track ‘Koka Nakhro Da’ which was one of the stand out free downloads of 2010. Without sounding clichéd, the future of Bhangra is alive, the future of Bhangra is Canada!
