The Queen of Panjabi folk music for over 60 years, Surinder Kaur has died in the U.S.A.
During the month of May she suffered with the loss of breath, swollen feet. Then a heart attack and accumulation of water in the lungs, leading to multiple organ failure & finally slipping into a coma.
Among the most respectable names in the world of Panjabi folk singing, one that has achieved the status of a living legend is that of Surinder Kaur.

Chan Kithe Guari Aai Raat, Lathe Di Chadar, Shonkan Mele Di, Gori Diyan Jhanjran Sarke-Sarke Jandiye Mutiare & many more.
Asa Singh Mastana, Harcharan Grewal, Didar Sandhu, Rangilla Jatt and of course her sister Prakash Kaur were just some of the people she recorded duets with.
One of the original pioneers of Punjabi folk music, music has lost another legend.
