Soni Pabla passes away October 14th 2006  

The Bhangra world is in mourning today as news filters through of the death of singer Soni Pabla. The vocalist was performing at a show in Brampton, Canada were he suffered a fateful heart attack. He was pronounced dead by paramedics on the way to hospital. As news first broke on SimplyBhangra forums, tributes have been pouring in across the Bhangra spectrum for another youthful Bhangra star who had so much promise and talent.

 Soni Pabla most recently released his solo album ‘Gal Dil De’ in 2005, which went on to become a huge success, with the music from Sukshinder Shinda.

He has left a huge void in Bhangra, who was one of the few from the Canadian market who was able to make a impact in the stubborn UK Bhangra scene.

His talents and magical voice will be missed by everyone, our condolences go out to his family and friends. R.I.P
