Punjabi actor/singer KS Makhan is set to see Drug charges against him dropped in Punjab, after being charged in April 2012.

KS Makhan had faced a series of serious drug charges relating back from 2006, accused of running a network importing herion from Punjab into Vancouver, Canada.

In April 2012, KS Makhan was once again apprehended by the Punjab Police in a new case detailing further drug charges against him and seven other accused, including his brother Hardeep Singh.  Today news has emerged from Punjab that the government has began proceedings to withdraw the drug case against KS Makhan.

Up until this point, KS Makhan was unable to leave Punjab, he stated on his twitter account (@KSMakhan1);

KS Makhan recently made his move into Punjabi cinema, featuring in the movies 'Pinky Moge Wali' & 'Sajjan - The Real Friend'
